While the other side of the pond is about to celebrate Halloween, here in Catalunya they celebrate All Saints Day on November 1st and eat chestnuts, sweet potatoes, and panallets!
The streets are filled with these small little shacks where chestnuts are roasted in every corner of the city. Mixed with the crisp fall air, the smell warms the heart and soul beckoning winters arrival!
The Chestnut Lady
When it's time to eat the chestnuts,
the chestnut lady, the chestnut lady
Sells her chestnuts down from the mountain
in the center of the town.
Her shirt, is a little too small
and her skirt, it's like a bell,
her shoes go clock, clock, clock
and when she dances she spins like this....
